DC Benefit Concert by Indian Ocean

Date: Saturday, September 27, 2008

Synopsis: PN University of Maryland, College Park and George Mason University chapters co-sponsored, in part, a concert event by Association for India's Development held in DC: a fundraiser to support development and relief efforts in India. The event brought the sounds of Indian Ocean to the US: one of the most popular fusion bands in the world that creates music based on poems that are meaningful and socially conscious. With an electrifying stage presence that matches their phenomenal talent, this group blends rock, Indi-folk, Indian classical, and various other elements to truly create music without boundaries.
