Human Rights in Egypt

Synopsis: At MIT, PN National and MIT’s Amnesty International presented a talk by Nasser Weddady, the American Islamic Congress’s Civil Rights Outreach Director. The talk discussed the challenges to basic civil and human rights in Egypt along the parameters of institutional and social challenges, freedom of speech, women’s rights, Egyptian bloggers, cyber activism, and religious freedom.
