Guantanamo Bay: The Countdown to the Closure

Synopsis: PN, Amnesty and the Human Rights Working Group at the University of Massachusetts-Boston organized a series of activities to promote awareness and dialogue on human rights violations in Guantanamo. In addition to hosting an information table with audiovisual displays (students dressed as inmates), there was a talk by Jeremy Robbins (Attorney, WilmerHale) who was part of a team of lawyers that secured landmark victories on behalf of six Bosnian-Algerian prisoners held at Guantanamo since January 2002, and a screening and discussion of the film The Road to Guantanamo
