Synopsis: PN National and Harvard STAND presented a fundraiser dance to raise money for the Genocide Intervention Network's Civilian Protection Program. The funds will be used to protect displaced civilians in Darfur by helping the UN-African Union peace mission. Specifically, they will help provide civilians with alternatives to firewood, which is becoming scarce around the camps--forcing women further into the desert to dig up roots, a journey which can leave them vulnerable for up to 15 hours at a time.
