Passing of the Torch

Synopsis: The PN American University (“AU”) chapter co-sponsored an event with the AU Persian Club wherein Dr. Ahmad Karimi-Hakkak, Professor and Founder of the Center for Persian Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, visited AU as part of a lecture series entitled "A Passing of the Torch." The lecture explored the traditions of his generation of Iranian-Americans in comparison to his children's generation. Dr. Karimi-Hakkak described the different stereotypes, perceptions, and histories of the two Iranian-American generations.
